About Whole Body UV Therapy

Whole Body UV Therapy is ideal for patients with widespread or treatment-resistant skin conditions. Suitable candidates include those with:

  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema (including atopic dermatitis)
  • Vitiligo
  • Chronic pruritus (itch)
  • Pityriasis lichenoides
  • Other photo-responsive or inflammatory skin diseases

This treatment is not suitable for patients with photosensitive disorders, or those with a significant history of skin cancer. A consultation is required to assess suitability and develop a tailored plan.

The Medisun 2800 delivers controlled narrowband UVB light (311 nm) across the full body using 28 high-output lamps. This wavelength slows abnormal skin cell growth and reduces inflammation without damaging surrounding tissue. Sessions are performed in a private space with full supervision by our trained medical team. The treatment is fast, painless, and scientifically supported for long-term skin condition management.
